Why to get Copyright Registration
Nov 27th
Different movie directors expressed the same idea differently, and this falls under copyright protection. Individual copyrights protect each expression and each movie. When people want to get copyrights, they are interested to know whether the copyright should be registered or not. It is not important to register it, because copyright is inherent right and statutory, and it comes essentially upon completion of work.
It is important to register copyright though under the following conditions:
1. In case any disputes or litigation arise, copyright registration certification ensures that a valid title and ownership can be produced in the court. To launch copyright infringement lawsuit, a copyright registration is essential in some cases. Hence copyright registration is compulsory when a work is to be used commercially.
2. Computer software should necessarily be copyrighted since there is little difference between original work and copied work. It is quite impossible to differentiate between the two.
3. The copyright claim gets a public record through copyright registration.
4. A copyright infringer can only be taken action against if one has a registration certificate. The infringer's work is thus immediately restrained from distribution of copyrighted material. When the work has been registered, only then the presumption of validity will apply.
In view of the above cited clauses, it becomes apparent that copyright registration might not be essential, but nevertheless it is wise to go for registration.

How to Draw Kittens
Nov 23rd

is pressing its paw against the face there.
But you can leave your eye unchanged, if you want.
Outline the ears and the paw more realistically.
The paw is flat at the bottom and only rounded at the top.
Separate it in four areas and draw a claw into each.
The outer ear-lines just bent in and out a little.
Erase the old lines, where necessary.
Since the eyes are now in place, you can erase the construction lines.
Then draw in two ovals for the pupils and cover them on the upper right with little circles for a highlight.
They indicate that the light is coming from the upper right corner.
Draw a second line closely around your eyes to get full eyelids.
At the inner corner of the eyes, these new lines connect with the lines that come up from the nose.
You are finished with the details for all the body parts.
Now let's create a beautiful fur pattern for our kitty.

Christmas As a Holiday Rational or Irrational
Nov 18th
With a significant amount of married couples, both spouses work. The shopping for gifts, food preparation, party planning, gift wrapping, taxiing the children, negotiating with extended family members, the in-laws, mostly falls with the wife. There is often an expressed irritation with an "imbalance of responsibilities," of the wife to her husband. Arguments become frequent. Children become impatient for Christmas morning to come, and the gifts Santa will bring, and for the older kids, the joy of having the latest cell phone, electronic game-set or "whatever." Expectations are high with our contemporary children.
Now Christmas is over. Too much food and alcohol has been consumed, we are sleep deprived, the bills start coming in, the expectations of appreciation for our efforts do not occur the perceptions of the "perfect Christmas," is dashed by petty family squabbles, and post-holiday depression sets in. More seriously, altercations may result among family members fueled by too much alcohol, and emotional and physical exhaustion. Maybe, old conflicts are brought up and acted-out. Issues that may have been dormant, are now brought to the surface.
It seems to me that with the portrait presented above, the true meaning of Christmas is lost. Often, the end result of a frantic and un-reasoned Christmas results in more stress than joy. I know this, because I have seen these individuals in counseling to help them unravel the conflicts and help them reconstruct their love for each other.
This Christmas, dear reader, pause and be rational about Christmas and have the courage to find the true meaning of Christmas and avoid the 'irrational, commercial" Christmas. Really try. Have a true Merry Christmas!
Copyright Protection for your music and songs
Nov 15th
Things could become a little complicated as being secured with copyright protection is not the same as proving it. Carrying proof of having automatic copyright is important, in other words! Registration of copyright is the one step which ensures it.
A public record is made when you register your copyright. Copyright could be registered with two authorities: it could be registered with the copyright office or a private registration service could be approached for such purpose. Both these guarantee a public record of your work through which the date of your song copyright could be proved.
It is very easy to protect your songs. Care should be taken however to approach only the independent registration service, either the copyright office, or a reputed private entity, like to register your songs.
Copyright infringement is a serious matter which needs attention. In case you want to sue someone for a song written in the US, the song needs to be filed with the copyright office before the lawsuit is actually filed. The procedure can be however carried out even for the total period of time your copyright is effective and even when your song has been attempted to be stolen. Still, it is always wise to have your songs first registered with a private registration service before registering them with the copyright office.
Compose your songs, but before marketing them, get copyright protection as soon as possible with the copyright office or reputable private registration service. Do not run any risk with your creations!

Copyright challenges and professional help
Nov 14th
Any work in art, design, music, literature or even an exam question paper, is the creativity of the author or originator alone and his sole property from the minute it is created and brought into a copyrightable form. There are certainly lots of advantages of registering a copyright but an unregistered piece of work does not mean that the authority of the owner can be challenged.
Due to piracy everywhere, it is considered better to have a registered copyright. Though it is not a precondition to copyright, a registration makes it easier to convince the others of your possession. In case of an infringement, producing a legally approved document ensures a stronger position in the argument. Another advantage is that any new product being produced will have a lesser chance of similarity with a registered work. When an investor or creator plans a new project, research is conducted to find out more about the existing works in the similar field. If a registered piece is copied it is plagiarism, for an unregistered piece, the originality will be hard to prove.
As an individual is generally not aware of the legal procedures, entertainment lawyers help in the process. Besides, not everyone is allowed to approach the Copyright Office for this purpose. Seeking professional help is a better option as it keeps an eye on the violation of copyright and keeps track of big and little details even if the client is too busy with his own projects and is unable to keep tabs of the protection of his product.

Engaging Attorneys for Copyright and Patent
Nov 7th
Patent law issues are of many different types like copyright. For example, if your firm manufactures aircraft products, the concerned patent attorneys in the area with background in aerodynamics can help you out. It is important to find a patent lawyer who fully understands and appreciates your ideas and plans.
When you deal with copyright and patent lawyers, it will also depend on how smart you are as they might not always have that much experience which they are presenting in front of you. If you are lacking understanding of legal issues, then it will not be easy for you to find an effective attorney and to judge their integrity since many individuals can fleece you easily.
One should ask for references from the lawyer to check his reliability. References need not be many but they can still help make your mind about an attorney's reputation. Who could know more about an attorney's efficiency more than the people who hire them?
It is important to understand that not all attorneys carry same skill level. The fees charged by them also vary hence you should ask for price quotes from the attorneys to check which are affordable for your company or family. Once you balance the costs with the available services, you will be able to decide which one is right for you.
How to File a Copyright Application for Software

A separate claim should be filed for each novel version of the software.
After making ready of the deposit, the balance of the claim is to some extent uncomplicated to fill in online.
You will be questioned if the software was a work made for hire and you will choose to take into account that question ahead of starting the claim. If you recompense someone to conceive the software for you, that does not as a matter of course signify that it is a work made for hire. You may still possess the software due to an assignment or contract exclusive of it being a "work made for hire." Usually speaking, if you are an employer and an employee wrote the program, it is doubtless a work made for hire. If you employed an independent contractor, it doubtless is not a work made for hire. Assess and contemplate Circular 9 fromto answer the question of whether the software is a work made for hire.
According to copyright law, tenancy of the copyright primarily belongs with the developer. If you commission independent contractors to write software programs for you, it is significant to have a contract in place assigning title to you. If you don't retain such a contract, you may get the picture that you only possess one version of the software.
Please furthermore go through my composition on whether to have confidence on copyright law or patent law to safeguard software. Patent law accommodates much sturdier protection. On the other hand, copyright registrations are dirt-cheap and should continually be brought into play at any rate of resources.
